The Baby Hui for Teens

Serving Teen Moms and Dads Across O'ahu

The Baby Hui launched its first teen hui at Kailua High School in 1992 and, with funding from the Weinberg Foundation, expanded the program throughout the state.

The Baby Hui offers a unique curriculum and specialized training program to educate volunteer leaders on the challenges that teen parents face as they juggle pregnancy, childrearing, partners, parents, and high school. Today, volunteers lead about six teen huis a year in O‘ahu’s public schools.

If your school is interested having the Baby Hui host a support group for young parents, please call 735-2484, or email us.

Words from a Teen Mom

“You helped us girls talk to each other about our babies, and I learned a lot about what to feed my baby and how to keep her from crying from other teen moms.…I saw that everybody has to work hard to be a good mom. Thank you for being such a caring friend.”
